I have over 16 years of experience working in the third sector in very much hands-on roles in sole capacity for small, yet very busy, not-for-profit organisations and also completed the CIPFA Postgraduate Certificate in Charity Finance & Accounting.
Previously, I worked for more than 15 years for multi-nationals as well as small commercial organisations where I learned the importance of efficiency, accuracy and dynamism.
As a freelancer, I can provide comprehensive Finance, Accountancy and Book-keeping services, including:
• Preparation of the statutory accounts and management of full audit or indepedent examination processes
• Development of annual budgets, forecasts and regular management accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns, including calculations for business/non-business income and partial exemption
• Setting up from the ground up Quickbooks Online including charts of accounts, ad-hoc project and/or cost centres structures, clients and suppliers databases according to your organisation's needs
• Management of cashflow
• Implementation of ad-hoc financial reporting to meet any funders' requirements
• Liaison with all statutory authorities on all tax matters, including VAT, PAYE and National Insurance contributions
• Provision of financial input for funding applications
• Grant costing and management as well as forensic analysis of grants income and expenditures
• Sales invoicing and credit control
• Banks reconciliations
